17-year-old Jakob lives with his father and grandfather in a small apartment in Vienna. To earn some money for his upcoming studies, he works as a temp in the slaughterhouse where his father also works. But an increasing anxiety disorder makes his life more and more difficult. One night, he meets 26-year-old artist Kristjan in a sex cam chat. The conversation develops into a virtual friendship, and the paths of the two also cross in the real world in an uncanny way - without a real encounter taking place. After a severe stroke of fate, Jakob summons up all his courage and arranges to meet the mysterious stranger. When the two meet in Kristjan's apartment, Jakob's journey to Nevrland and to the wounds of his soul has long since begun ... A depth-psychologically grounded coming-of-age film about the courage to be oneself and the tremendous fear that often lies before it.
"The director has staged an intense trip that erases the boundaries between drug intoxication, death, panic attacks, outing and exorcism." THE STANDARD
