The third part of the workers' saga takes place in 1968. Rudi Blaha is press officer for sanitary affairs. His forward-looking project, a factory that is to process the garbage of the city of Vienna into marketable products, gradually turns out to be a foolish prank. Rudi's attempt to change the city council's mind and have the project abandoned fails. Out of misunderstood solidarity, he also actively helps to create a media illusion and loses his only friend in the process. While the city council and the dignitaries bawl an old workers' song to "Schrammel" music at the opening, the drunken Rudi Blaha yells his "...all lies" in between....
