Der Atem des Himmels

After the death of her father, 41-year-old Erna von Gaderthurn leaves her family's South Tyrolean castle in the spring of 1953. She moves to Blons in Vorarlberg, where she takes a job as a teacher. In the small mountain community, she already causes a stir upon her arrival. Baron von Kessel is also taken with her. Erna, however, is more attracted to her colleague Eugenio, who comes into conflict with von Kessel. The baron refrains from erecting avalanche fences on his estates....
