The Guardian Angel

The Waldviertel, a picturesque region between Vienna and the former Iron Curtain. The body of a woman is floating on a large pond in the middle of the forest. Chief Inspector Paul from the Lower Austrian State Office of Criminal Investigation in St. Pölten is faced with a mystery: the apparent bathing accident of the elderly woman could be a perfect murder. No motive, no clues, no suspects. Could the victim have known something that cost her her life? Or is the crime linked to the disappearance of a young woman ten years ago? Martin, her fiancé at the time, is now a police officer and investigates alongside Paul - not yet realizing that the investigation will bring him closer to the case than he would like.
