The Burg

THE BURG portrays one of the most important theaters in the world, Vienna's Burgtheater, in the context of a cinematic voyage that makes visible what is otherwise invisible: the work that is necessary to keep this cultural toolkit going. It is about the interlocking of work processes, the manifold steps that have to be mastered from the selection of a play to its premiere. In this way, the diverse perspectives convey the fascination that emanates from the subject of theater in a particularly intense way. DIE BURG focuses on the creation of the play "Geächtet" (Outlawed) by Ayad Akhtar with the actors Nikolas Ofczarek, Fabian Krüger, Katharina Lorenz and Christoph Radakovits.
