The Last Ambassador

Afghan diplomat Manizha Bakhtari remained the last representative of her country in Europe after the Taliban took power in 2021. The film accompanies Bakhtari in her tireless efforts to promote the rights of Afghan women and girls while living and working in exile in Vienna. It captures the personal and political challenges Bakhtari faces and shows her struggle for education and freedom in a conflict-ridden environment.
