Love comes with the Christ Child

Fate has not been kind to Martin Haller. A few months ago, the renowned Michelin-starred chef lost his wife and his restaurant in a gas explosion. He hasn't touched a spoon since. In order to provide his young daughter Katrin with the bare necessities, he prefers to work as a cab driver. Meanwhile, his father Joseph, with whom the two of them have moved in to save money, looks after the little girl. The youth welfare office, in the form of the conservative Mrs. Zeiler, doesn't think much of this male economy. Without a regular relationship - i.e. a woman in the house - Martin is in danger of losing the dearest thing in his life, his daughter Katrin.
