Draga Ljiljana - Dear Ljiljana

I was searching for Ljiljana, my childhood, my homeland, in other words, my past, and I felt that something insurmountable stood in my way. Sentimental images and memories clouded my vision somewhat as I travelled towards the sea in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Following in the footsteps of a shared past, I found myself back on the soil of my homeland after eight years. The characters in this film are searching for their place, their home, just as I am searching for my childhood friend. My compatriots who fled to Vienna carry the burden of their flight on their backs and visit Bosnia in the vain hope of finding a part of their former homeland and their past.
