Barney Schweinheimer (D. Stermann) has seen much better times: Once internationally sought-after as a model, he now shoots stairlift commercials. His only possessions after a 25-year career are a suitcase ready for the flea market and a saxophone. When he tries to pawn the latter, he ends up in the dusty music store of the sad and alcoholic Michael Kiesel (H. Strunk), himself a gifted saxophonist. He is in yearning as well as unrequited love with Heidrun Fröhlich (U. Strauss), leading actress of the series "Verliebt in eine Leiche". With him, one can take a "saxophone course for singles", which Barney promptly does with other lonely gentlemen. Dragan Kuhl (C. Grissemann) plays ping-pong in his spare time, lonely in the escapes of his huge villa. The son of the notorious Ribiselmörderin (I. Burkhard) runs a travel agency that makes the most bizarre vacation dreams come true on the trail of death and destruction. When the three sad figures end up in Dragan's villa with schnapps and zwieback in a quirky early bird flat-sharing community for stranded existences, their lives take a surprising turn after all thanks to youtube, death and Chernobyl ... As the saying goes: miracles always do happen.
