The body of 17-year-old Elena is recovered from Lake Mattsee. Chief Inspector Dorner grew up in the same village and takes on the case. As he seems to be unstable after a traumatic experience, young investigator Alex Fink is placed at his side to keep an eye on him. The dead woman is the daughter of Dorner's childhood friend.
