Ambitious young manager Beate Winter is on a professional mission for a multinational corporation called EUROPA in the Balkans, ostensibly to promote philanthropy, structural development and investment in underdeveloped regions. Her journey takes her to a sparsely populated, remote valley in southern Albania, where she tries to buy land from the few remaining locals for an initially unclear agenda. She meets a small, traditional community of self-sufficient farmers and comes into conflict with Jetnor, a stubborn and deeply spiritual farmer and beekeeper who refuses to give up the land of his ancestors.
