The body of a letter carrier is found on Lake Neusiedl, and the investigation reveals that it was likely a robbery-murder. Several of the villagers are among the suspects: Five young men now need an alibi. Walter was with Elisabeth on the night of the murder, but he cannot rely on her support. She is not only the sister of Stephan, who is also a suspect, but also the fiancée of the gendarme who is leading the investigation into the case.
"For me, the black-and-white film is still the essential thing. That's where you have to get everything out. That's where you have to prove what you can do." WALTER PARTSCH, cinematographer, received an award for best black-and-white film with "Brutality" (1954).
