Garten sprengen

Los Angeles, city of illusions. In a montage of her own footage, archive material, film clips, interrogation transcripts and musical dissonances, Veronika Eberhart gives us a glimpse of the dream factory. “Are you familiar with American poetry?” The question sounds like an

accusation as posed by Hanns Eisler in a heavy German accent during his interrogation in 1947 by the House Committee on Un-American Activities. Simultaneously Veronika Eberhart's Garten

sprengen shows a man (performer: Ian F Svenonius) wandering down a virtually endless hotel

corridor.
