Born in Absurdistan

A mistake with serious consequences: newborns Karli and Heiri are switched at a hospital in Vienna. When the mistake needs to be cleared up, it turns out that the Turkish family and their baby have been deported. The insecure Austrian couple pack their beloved baby into the car and drive after the unsuspecting Turks to clear up the supposed mistake. Thus begins a confusing odyssey through Turkey for the Austrians before they finally find their Karli and Heiri's Turkish parents. However, they are not at all convinced that the babies have been switched. While the fathers threaten to fight for their own son, the babies' mothers grow in understanding and friendship. In order to clarify the situation, both sets of parents decide to travel to Austria together to have a blood test. But this is not so easy, because the Turks are no longer allowed to enter Austria legally. So they have to be smuggled across the border...
