One of the most beautiful experiences in cinema is to be given the gift of time to get involved with a person's physiognomy, to get used to it, and thus to learn to appreciate and love it - one of the sensual experiences that Ruth Kaaserer's documentary makes possible from the very first minute. Gwendolyn, the titular protagonist, is a little over 60, a little over 50 kg, a weightlifter and a retired Assyriologist. And she has cancer. The film tells of her comeback as an athlete.
