In the heart of the Vorarlberg mountains, Toni runs a small camp with 15 huskies. Caring for the dogs and enjoying long sleigh rides through the breathtaking landscape are part of his daily life. As a seven-year-old, he survived leukaemia and now invites families with seriously ill children to spend relaxing hours with his dogs in the carefree countryside. Guest parents talk about their own experiences. A recent cancer diagnosis plunges Toni into despair. He tries to suppress his fear that this time he will not survive. He flees headlong to Sweden. There, together with his huskies, he tries to overcome his fear. After cancer surgery, Toni spends a summer with his wife and youngest daughter in northern Sweden, where he wants to convince his family to live in the far north. But a visit from a host family with a child suffering from leukaemia brings Toni new insights.
