When Ingeborg Bachmann and the Swiss writer Max Frisch met in Paris in 1958, it was the beginning of a passionate love story. Their relationship lasted four years, beginning in Paris and leading to Rome via Zurich. But artistic disputes and Max Frisch's devouring jealousy gradually begin to destroy the harmony. Years later, Ingeborg Bachmann could not shake off the memory of her love for Max Frisch. On a trip to the desert with her young friend Adolf Opel, she tries to come to terms with her relationship with Max Frisch and slowly let go of it.
