Christmas in the Uckermark. Lars and his father Henrik live alone on an old farm. As strangers, they are ignored by the locals. Their idea to convert the barn into a wedding hotel is ridiculed. And additionally, their relationship with each other is characterized by speechlessness. Nothing moves. At the train station Lars meets Marie and a new world opens up to him. Together they wander through the snow-covered landscape, which seems to be enchanted. It is then that Lars learns of his father's relationship with his aunt Jana and feels even more excluded. The family chaos at the fest of love seems perfect when Lars' mother surprisingly shows up with her lover. The future place for wedding couples turns into a battlefield of subtle word fights and feelings. That's when Lars takes the first step to break the ice.
