Marlene

Frank works as a hitman for a large crime syndicate in Styria. When one day he receives an order to kidnap a girl named Marlene, everything changes for him. He falls in love and refuses to obey, but his employers take matters into their own hands and kidnap Marlene in his place. Now Frank must stand alone against the combined might of the syndicate to save Marlene. "Marlene" is a loud cry of the young Austrian film. With the strong motivation of all involved and the desire for a breath of fresh air in the domestic film landscape, this innovative independent film project was made possible in four years of creation. A modern concept, exciting characters, visually powerful and passionately staged, these are the ingredients of Austria's first real action cinema film.
