Four interwoven stories tell of flight, migration and our and Europe's everyday dealings with it in this tragicomedy. Marie, a young volunteer, goes to the Mediterranean to help. Marcel, a teenage boy, sets up a women's escort service for fear of allegedly assaulting migrants. The editor Petra takes in an underage refugee. And Gerald, the head of the asylum center, is put to the test by one of his protégés.
ME, WE - this is the shortest poem ever and gets to the heart of the realities of the current migration society: Who am I, and who can I be - and are the others really so different? The film tells of these experiences we have with our enthusiasm and naivety, with our skepticism and powerlessness, focusing on the subtle nuances that this diverse coexistence means for everyone.
