Stuttering - My Constant Companion

Birgit has stuttered since early childhood, and is actually quite confident. But during a visit to the movie The King ́ s Speech, she is caught up by "her" subject. An agonizingly long stuttering block by the film character and laughter in the audience are enough to trigger old familiar feelings in Birgit. But despite her first impulse to follow old patterns and run out of the movie theater, Birgit wants to face her own stuttering in a new way and finally make peace with it. Encouraged by a personal meeting with David Seidler, the author of "The King's Speech," Birgit ventures into an intensive exchange with other people in whose lives stuttering also plays a role.
