Monte Veritá - The thrill of freedom

1906: A society in upheaval, characterized by fears and hopes. The first dropouts - including the young Hermann Hesse and the psychoanalyst Otto Gross - seek their paradise and find it in the south of Switzerland, on Monte Verità. The reformers not only shed their clothes, but also the mental corset that threatened to suffocate society. The young mother Hanna Leitner is also drawn to Ascona to escape her bourgeois role. Torn between feelings of guilt towards the family she has left behind and the fascination of a self-determined life, Hanna not only discovers her passion for photography, but also finds her own voice.
