The approximately seven minutes of the film bring together views of Manhattan from a studio apartment on the 20th floor - straight ahead to the horizon, steeply down onto neighboring rooftops and into the urban canyons, up into the clouds and at all angles in between - and of the building itself - the neighboring balcony, the light reflections and shadows inside. In fact, however, each shot is not one view, but the image of three views, one after the other, while the same strip of film, each with a different color filter in front of the lens - first red, then green, then blue - ran through the camera.
