In Vienna at the turn of the century, a visionary and pioneering Sigmund Freud developed psychoanalysis until he was forced into exile in London in 1938. An intimate portrait based on Freud's correspondence and texts - also told from the perspective of his daughter Anna - and a questioning of “home” and “Jewish identity”. Previously unpublished archive images show Freud not only as a brilliant thinker, but also as a private person in all his different facets.
