Ahmet is the well-behaved son of Turkish immigrants, the tough state boxing champion, the soldier who has pledged to "serve the Austrian people". But the more he tries to meet the demands from the outside, the stronger his inner resistance grows. The need to feel himself again leads Ahmet to follow his youthful dream and take private acting lessons. In the classes, Ahmet is supposed to show weakness and finally burst into tears in a scene. Easier said than done - after all, Ahmet has not cried since childhood. Soldier Ahmet begins as a parable about migrant life in Austria and the difficulty of belonging, to gradually reveal itself as a portrait of a young person and the poetic power of his emotional world.
