Mrs. Baczynski did not talk about her history until recently. Not even all family members knew that she had been born a Jew and escaped the Holocaust only by luck. Her grandson Nicholas hangs on her every word and wants to know things in detail. A life between Hitler terror and Soviet threat finally finds a supposed happy end in Vienna, but she decides to keep her origins to herself.
