Supermarket employee Gabi Kovanda leads a quiet life between family and work, between a single-family home and a local supply business. Gabi's husband Hannes works at the road maintenance depot, their son Ronnie is a regular soldier in the army and still lives at home. His older sister Sabine already lives in Vienna and only comes over on weekends. Gabi's and Hannes' lives seem orderly and secure. But when Gabi comes home from work one day, something happens that changes her life in one big blow. There is nothing to see, nothing to hear, and yet it hits Gabi like a bolt out of the blue - the encounter with God.
