Verkaufte Heimat - Part 2

VERKAUFTE HEIMAT was perhaps the only film for a long time that dealt with the historical developments in South Tyrol in the period between 1938 and the mid-sixties. This critical period is examined through the stories of three families.

Part 2 "Leb' wohl, du mein Südtirol": In 1939 the Tschurtschentaler family opted for the German Reich. They left their farm and, following the promises of the Nazis, moved to Bohemia, where they received a large farm. But the old farmer dies of homesickness. Hermann has to learn that the farmhand he had been assigned to is actually the owner of the farm.
