Shakespeare’s famous comedy about a thoroughly unlikely couple: Benedict and Beatrice—he, the witty marriage-shy man; she, the man-hater with the sharpest tongue in world literature—are only too happy to fall for the pranks the others play on them—until they run out of words, but find each other instead. Otto Schenk’s humorous and affectionate production featuring the two supposed lovers-in-denial: highly comedic and deeply moving.
