Forest Of Echoes

A young woman runs through the forest, competing, it seems, with two young men. Lustfully joyful running, long hair, red dress, Jules et Jim, but suddenly everything is different. The men have disappeared, what remains is a mamsel in distress, the film leads on the trail of horror: on the riverbank the young woman discovers three children's corpses. But with a hard cut everything changes again: tableaux vivants of three nymphs, not dead at all but very much alive, and full of macabre, mystical, and comic ideas - which are never childish.
