Grete can do little with her retirement as an investigator at the Upper Austrian State Office of Criminal Investigation. Cycling on her e-bike in the picturesque Mühlviertel and visits to the nursing home can't be everything. The murder of a young policewoman in the former no man's land between the Mühlviertel and the Czech Republic hits her hard. She was young Johanna's role model. When the Czech detective Stani, Johanna's boyfriend, asks her for help with the investigation at the funeral, two original allies find themselves in a life-threatening adventure. No one knows who is playing what role between the drug dealers and the police and why Johanna had to die.
