Between Us God

After years of distance, filmmaker Rebecca Hirneise reconnects with her devout family to discuss religion for the first time. Documentary observations of family gatherings are interwoven with discussion rounds, archival material, notes, and memories, creating a discourse centered on the question of whether living out one's faith is perhaps not healing, but rather painful for some family members.
