Andreas (Roland Düringer) is unemployed, divorced and at his wits' end. He is behind with his alimony payments and has no money to buy his son a birthday present. In desperation, he plans to rob a supermarket. Even before he draws his gun, panic overcomes him and he flees to a small tailor shop in the building next door. He threatens the tailor (Joachim Bißmeier) and a customer who happens to be there (Josef Hader), searches the store for cash and is suddenly stuck. For the block of houses is surrounded by the police - the supermarket has indeed been raided in the meantime. In a confined space and under extreme circumstances, the three men run through the whole range of human behavior...
