In 1981, Austrian author and critic Ernst Schmidt Jr. (WIENFILM) made his first feature film based on a grotesque-parodic novel by Heimito von Doderer (1896-1966). The result "is anything but boring, but original and fast-paced staged and refreshingly anti-perfectionist.
