Now something has happened again. This time in Salzburg. The son-in-law of the Salzburg Music Festival president is dead. Allegedly suicide. A lucky coincidence for the church. After all, the dead man had only recently attracted attention with scandalous memories of his youth in the convent for boys. Brenner (Josef Hader) has other worries. But the attractive widow of the just deceased offers him a financially tempting proposition. She believes that her husband was murdered. And Brenner is to prove it. Luckily, his old friend Berti (Simon Schwarz) comes to his rescue. Their investigation leads them into the secretive world of the convict and behind the scenes of the festival. The top echelons of society have their own take on the course of justice.... Wolfgang Murnberger's second Wolf Haas adaptation is, however, "above all, a very clever film about stupid thoughts." CLAUS PHILIPP
"Maybe that's the most realistic thing we've been told about Salzburg: that nothing fits together there..." JOSEF HADER
