Albert (Andreas Lust) has lived all his life on his parents' secluded mountain farm, even though his relationship with his mother (Ingrid Burkhard) was not always easy. When he gets a job in the marble quarry in the valley, it means necessary changes for him, which the introverted, shy man finds difficult to adjust to. Eventually, he will have to choose between the familiar archaic, almost eremitic solitude and a strange, risky life among people.
Ingrid Burkhard was awarded Best Female Lead at the 2019 Austrian Film Awards, Klemens Hufnagl for Best Cinematography, and the film was nominated for the 2018 European Film Awards.
