The story takes place in Tamsweg, at the beginning of the 1960s. The "heroes" are adolescent boys who like to eat bacon sandwiches, prepare for manhood and are altar boys in the village parish. For the Tamswegian rascals, it is a done deal to organize themselves and form a gang and name it "Wolves". They want to become the strongest in the Lungau. Their big goal is to beat the "Dorfer Gang" from the neighboring village. They draw up gang rules and practice sneaking up on people according to the instructions of Karl May. And then, during Holy Week, the final preparations begin for the showdown with the "Dorfer Gang," which is set for Easter Sunday.
