Echo Park is the epitome of shattered Hollywood dreams. A shabby suburb of Los Angeles, where those who got stuck in the kitchen sink following the American dream of becoming a dishwasher to a millionaire meet. Waitress May, pizza delivery man Jonathan and Austrian August are united by this shattered dream. And they do their utmost to make the best of their situation. ECHO PARK' is an Austrian-American co-production from the eighties, which takes the American Dream for a spin and makes its characters lovable and human with a lot of depth and compassion.
