Why Not You

In his small South Tyrolean home village, everyone knows the quirky and sensitive Mario, who is passionate about dancing. Accepted by the other inhabitants, but at the same time viewed critically, he at least finds an ally in his father. When Mario meets his childhood friend Lenz again, feelings come to the surface. Lenz is now living in Rome as an actor, and Mario decides without further ado to follow him. The two meet in a gay bar, but Mario soon realizes that Lenz was not necessarily waiting for him. When armed men suddenly storm into the bar, Lenz becomes the victim of an assassination attempt, and Mario escapes unharmed. When he returns to South Tyrol, his life gradually starts to come apart at the seams.
