Hansi Lang, who died in 2008, was an icon of Austrorock in Vienna in the seventies and eighties. In his acting debut, directed by Dieter Berner, he embodies the role of a rock singer who can't get a grip on himself and drugs. His antagonist (Karl Kröpfl) is a farmer's son who moves to the city because his farm yields "too little to live on, too much to die on. In between the two men is a girl from Germany (Beate Finckh) who, stranded in Vienna, is now allowed to do little show interludes at rock concerts as a groupie.
"Come out of your shadow, for it belongs to the rats ..." HANSI LANG
