Sargnagel – The Movie
We accompany the author on visits to relatives, visit the offices of the operator where she once worked and wrote her legendary Facebook postings. We experience her grumpily on reading tours between Amstetten and St. Valentin. Café Weidinger has to make an appearance, otherwise a film about Stefanie Sargnagel is not complete. We get to know her publisher and her partner, who is even better at doing nothing than Sargnagel herself. And Sargnagel fan Jan Böhmermann does the talking head that every proper documentary needs. Is this still real or already fictionalization? Is it necessary to separate the work from the author? Who the hell cares. Based on the books "Fitness" and "Statusmeldungen", the material meanders amusingly between pub and burnout, tells of the shitstorm and the consequences of saying Nazis to Nazis in Austria.
SARGNAGEL - THE MOVIE is a kind of mockumentary, which on the one hand tells quite truthfully about Stefanie Sargnagel's life, and on the other hand about a fictional film shoot in which Hilde Dalik is to slip into the role of Stefanie Sargnagel under the direction of Michael Ostrowski." (FM4)
