Space Dogs

The stray dog Laika was the first living creature to be sent into space - and thus to certain death. According to a legend, she returned to earth as a ghost and has been roaming the streets of Moscow ever since. Following Laika's footsteps and filmed from the dogs' perspective, SPACE DOGS follows the adventures of her descendants: two street dogs in present-day Moscow. Their story is about intimate allegiance, relentless brutality, and ultimately their view of us humans. Interwoven with previously unreleased footage from the era of Soviet space travel, a magical tale of Moscow's street dogs forms - from their ascent into space to life on the ground.
