The companions of Koloman Wallisch

Bruck an der Mur, 1934: The Socialists, led by their provincial party secretary Koloman Wallisch, are forced to surrender after a bitter struggle and the uprising is crushed. Against this backdrop, the factory worker Viktor falls in love with Paula, the daughter of a respected doctor. Their different social backgrounds and ideological differences - Viktor is a committed socialist, Paula belongs to the bourgeois camp - put a strain on their relationship.
